Confronting Abuse and Loving kids in Manhattan, Kansas!
We are honored serve the abandoned, neglected and abused children here in Manhattan.
Annually, 3.6 million cases of child abuse, neglect or abandonment are reported in America.
Kansas now has over 7,000 children in foster care who desperately need the unconditional love that our volunteers give for one week of summer camp and through the school year mentoring program.
By supporting our local camp, you help area foster kids get the opportunity to go to camp, at no cost to them or their foster families, where a week of positive memories are made. You are helping change the trajectory of these kids’ lives.
Royal Family KIDS of Manhattan, Kansas, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity. Donations and gifts are tax-deductible, as allowed by law.
Manhattan First Assembly of God Church in Manhattan, KS has been privileged to sponsor a Royal Family KIDS Camp every summer since 2000. We are part of a international network of camps and mentoring clubs based in California.
As you might imagine, it’s not easy to raise nearly $32,000 each year to create a fun-filled week of memories for these children, but the smiles on those children’s faces is worth more than we could possibly give.
Throughout the year, our volunteers have fun together as we raise the money for next summer’s camp. Our volunteers love serving at this camp!
Many coaches and support staff have been a part of Manhattan RFK for more than 10 years. College students, moms and dads, retired couples – all types of people find joy in serving these precious children.
Royal Family KIDS Camp has a camper-to-coach ratio of 2:1 with at least 30 additional support staff.
Activities are purposefully designed to be non-competitive and non-threatening while allowing children to experience success. We make moments matter.
